The Placer County Housing Authority is serving the following cities and communities: Placer County, Granite Bay, Kings Beach, Loomis, Meadow Vista, Newcastle, Auburn, North Auburn, Penryn, Colfax, Alta, Carnelian Bay, Dollar Point, Dutch Flat, Lincoln, Foresthill, Sheridan, Rocklin, Sunnyside-Tahoe City, Tahoe Vista and Tahoe City.

Great news: You can APPLY for this Section 8 Waitlist ONLINE, using your computer or internet-connected mobile device.

This Section 8 waiting list is not accepting paper applications and only online enrollment is available. If you don’t have internet access at home, you can use a computer at any public library in your city and submit an application from there.

500 applicants will be selected to be placed on this Section 8 waiting list via random lottery selection, after sorting preferences (From the Housing Authority’s application page: Pre-applicants who live or work in Placer County’s jurisdiction which excludes the City of Roseville, who are elderly, disabled, a low income family or veteran or is homeless and participating in transitional housing or shelter programs or fleeing a domestic violence situation will receive preference when determining waiting list order).

If you submit the waitlist application during the open period mentioned above, the exact time or date of the application will not have an affect on your position on the waiting list.

REMINDER: Please don’t submit more than 1 waitlist application per applicant – submitting multiple waiting list applications will NOT increase your chances of getting on the waitlist and might get you disqualified from being considered to be placed on the waitlist.
